- Fall Night Hike
October 14, 2017
6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
For this hike we will use all of our senses to explore the trails at Lake Conestee by the light of the moon! For this night hike we will focus on the owl. These nocturnal birds of prey have amazing adaptations that make them extremely successful in their night time habitats. Hopefully we will get some eyes or ears on these amazing creatures along with any of the other nocturnal creatures that call our park home.
Come early and make a fun Halloween craft with us! We will be painting recycled glass jars to create lanterns that will be an excellent addition to your Halloween decorations at home. Check out the example in the picture below!
When: October 14th
What time: crafting begins at 6:30, hike is 7:30-9:30
Where: 601 Fork Shoals Rd.; this is where our park office is located. The entrance is just south of the traffic light at Fork Shoals Rd. and Old White Horse Rd. Please do not solely rely on GPS to find this location!
